Supply and Demand

In class we discussed how supply and demand helps set purchase price. Give me some examples of how supply and demand effected some of the purchases you made when buying school supplies. IF you have another example of how supply and demand determines price, please share.

    everyone was buying folders so they were only 15 cents other than that i didnt buy school supplies.

    It effects the school supplies that we purchase by suppling a variety of products at a low price that we can purchase, and there is always more than one product to select from. Demand effects our purchases because everyone needs school supplies for school, so we are willing to buy the product.

    When buying school supplies there are a lot of notebooks and people will buy many so some cost less than a dollar. There is more of a demand for pencils, pens, and notebooks so the cost of them is cheaper than the cost of a binder or something that isn't needed as much.

    school supplies gets cheaper near the begining of the school year.

    Supply and demand effected school supplies by a week before school starts all notebooks are $0.05 so I bought a ton of them, but in december when they are in low supply they will be about $0.50 when the supply is low.

    when i bought school supplies they had alot of binders and notebookes but not much folders

    Because more people were demanding school supplies and the supply was greater the prices were lower. Later in the year when the demand for that product is lower and less are being made the prices will become higher.

    School supplies are cheaper and in greater quantities at the beginning of the school year

    When you first need school supplies the prices are higher but once school starts the prices area little lower.
